About Kim

Kim was born and raised in Arlington, graduating from Yorktown High School. Public service is a family tradition; her mother served in the Commonwealth Attorney's office, and her father was an Arlington County Firefighter, the second of four generations to wear that uniform.

Kim joined the Treasurer's Office in 1990, rising through the ranks and spending more than a decade leading the Compliance Division. In 2014, Treasurer Carla de la Pava selected her as Chief Deputy Treasurer. Kim holds a Master Governmental Deputy Treasurer certificate from the University of Virginia's Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service and is a graduate of Leadership Arlington's Class of 2019.

Kim has dedicated many years to supporting youth sports in her community. She has been an active volunteer with Arlington Little League and Arlington Travel Baseball and has played a leadership role with the Yorktown Baseball Boosters, where she served as both President and Treasurer.
